THE CLIENT
Kodak sought Grithaus for the launch of their flagship instant print product line, which included instant-print cameras and mobile printers. Since then, Grithaus has continued to drive a consistent stream of earned media in top tier lifestyle and tech publications, positioning Kodak and its product line as leaders in the instant-print industry.
The team secured top product placement on mainstream broadcast programming and daytime talk shows including the TODAY Show, Wendy Williams and Tamron Hall.
We have built a stable of key influencers, including TikTok and Amazon creators, as well as leading YouTubers in the tech world.
THE PROGRAM
Grithaus re-launched the iconic Kodak Instant Print line, capitalizing on the mass market appeal of nostalgia and re-introducing retro instant-print images. As a result of the MR program, Kodak is constantly ranked amongst the top three instant-print brands year after year. In 2020, Rolling Stone ranked the Kodak Smile Camera, the “best overall” instant print camera of 2020 and in 2021 Forbes ranked Kodak, alongside Fujifilm and Polaroid, as the top brands leading the instant print industry.
To ensure 360-degree coverage, a multi-layered approach was deployed to maximize potential reach and hit large cross sections of the target markets including parents, mom “creators”, teens and young adults ages 18-25. By establishing key relationships with press, producers, and influencers the team has established a consistent and ongoing Kodak presence in lifestyle gifting roundups for every holiday and occasion.
This was achieved by securing earned print and online editorial in key lifestyle and tech publications like Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, Wired, and The Wall Street Journal, placing Kodak instant-print products with national daytime broadcast segments including the TODAY Show, The Real, Wendy Williams and Jimmy Kimmel Live in addition to holiday giveaways of Kodak instant-print products on ELLEN and The Real.
The team also spearheaded influencer relations programs with creators on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram as well as micro influencer programs with Amazon Creators that powered better results than the paid program.
